ST. CATHERINE’S CELEBRATES HER 11TH VALEDICTORY SERVICE
Hurray! Today, we are gathered to celebrate our students on the 12th batch of our Annual Prize-Giving and Valedictory Service. It has been twelve years of consistently producing future leaders-children with high moral value, academic excellence, with readiness to face the challenges ahead of them in this great nation and the universe at large.
I shall not fail to acknowledge the source of our success- God Almighty. He has been our bedrock and strength – in Him we rely. All glory, honour and adoration to the creator of heaven and earth.
Today’s success story would not have seen the light of the day without the board members of this great College. This team of professionals has always guide, tutor and direct the affairs of this school in the right directions from their wealth of knowledge and experience. They have been supportive through their advice and encouragement and we have picked not just a leaf but leaves from their contributions, which have contributed immensely to our success today.
Facilities:
Distinguished guests, good amenities and infrastructure are crucial for the overall development and for producing would changers. The facilities needed for molding and grooming our students are all on ground in St. Catherine’s College.
St. Catherine’s College is well-equipped with modern science teaching facilities and laboratories in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Home Economics, Needle Work, Computer, Agric, Introtech, Fine Art and Music as well as a good library to enhance teaching and learning. The teaching and non teaching staff are of World Class Standard. They are industrious, disciplined and selfless. More power to your elbow.
Achievement:
Ladies and gentlemen, indeed, our is a success story. We have always come with good news for our parents. There has always been a tale of new ground that has been broken by our students. In the recently released JAMB result, our student bagged 300 and above. Over 70% of the students scored above 270. While we were still in the mood of celebration, the WAEC result was released and over 85% of our students had eight distinctions. We equally participated in several competitions among which are:
Hyper Connected Museum: New Approach New Public – first position. Third position Dazzle Art Award 2018; nominated for the winner of the West Africa’s Best Class Christian Quality Education.
To help our students, discover their God-given talent. They are engaged in various hobby groups such as Jet Club, Music Club, Young Farmers’ Club, Home Makers, Drama Club, Cultural Club, and Press Club among others.
To Our Parents:
Distinguished Parents, you deserve a round of applause for making the right decision. Dear parents, you have been wonderful; we appreciate you so much for your continuous prayers, advice, encouragement and supports.
On behalf of the Board of Governors, Management and staff of this school, we treasure your steadfast love and support for this school – You will reap the fruits of your labour.
The Graduands:
Greetings to you, your Excellency, surprised? I recognize that I am addressing future President, Governors, First ladies and others who would be in high position of this great nation and the world at large. Children who would move this nation to greater height.
Congratulations, I salute you for you have worked hard. Today, the result of your effort is displayed for all to see. It is time to rejoice, sit relax and bask in the joy of your success.
However, as you journey into your future, do not forget all the values that have been instilled in you. Remember the son of whom you are. They voyage into your future has began. Be conscious of the company you keep, face your study squarely; cultism and prostitution are the other of the day, don’t be part of it. Remember, the road of “I don’t care” will always lead to the junction of “had I known”.
You parents and this lofty institution (St. Catherine’s College) have worked tirelessly to bring out the best in you. It is now your turn to nurture and protect these values jealously. Do not let us down; make us proud as ambassadors of this school. Keep the flag flying. Once again, I say a big congratulation to you. Cheers!!!
