INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION 2017 – National Museum of Unity Ibadan

On the 4th of October, 2017, Saint Catherine’s College went for a cultural display to celebrate Nigeria’s Independence at the National Museum of Unity. The program started with the National Anthem and after, the Museum’s Anthem. A lecture on Independence was delivered.

The cultural display began with a presentation of Ewi (poem), which was presented by Ogedengbe Tomiwa for St. Catherine’s college among all other schools which received the loudest applause. Her poem was presented in a way that it captured hearts and her gestures were not left out.

          The next display was the presentation of news in Yoruba language (iroyin) which was presented by two students, Ogundana Temiloluwa and Odeyale Rhoda. The news was presented so well that it captured the attention of the audience.

The cultural dancers led by SIMEON Uyoyo Love also presented, and their presentation was so nice that they were applauded continuously even by other schools.
