THE SNOW DAY ACTIVITY

The ‘snow day’ is an outdoor learning activity for pupils (St. Catherine’s Crèche                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Nursery and Primary School, Jericho Ibadan).

The activity entails information on the seasons and their climate formation. The snow day comprises the kind of outfit that is suitable for the weather (winter)

To protect ourselves from intense freezing, clothing such as the winter coat, pullovers, hand gloves or mitten and head warmer and possible some knee top boots/Wellington boots has to be worn.

We also learnt about the seven planets which are:

• North America
• South America
• Africa
• Asia
• Europe
• Australia
• Antarctica

Saying the in the right diction and eloquently. We also had the feel of the snowdrops with a shredded Styrofoam. We learnt about some African countries where snow falls such as some parts in South Africa, Morocco, Lesotho, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo etc.

The snow day was a fun filled where all the pupils enjoyed the fill of the snow season and joy.
